You heard that right — she’s international now.
I know, it might feel slightly off-brand for some of you, but to me it couldn’t feel more natural. Half of my Norwegian is already laced with English (the curse of being an online girl), and let’s face it — the fashion scene here is far too small. I want to reach a bigger circle of fashion lovers. And, perhaps most importantly, English simply offers a richer vocabulary, especially when you’re trying to capture the poetry of fashion history. Because sometimes, style just needs a bigger stage.

So what does this mean for Motebibelen? The name stays — of course. How could it not? It’s too good to let go. Fashion Bible just doesn’t have the same ring to it. And if you’re new here and wondering, Motebibelen quite literally translates to Fashion Bible. But you already knew that… obviously.
Motebibelen is the place to be for true fashion lovers. A time before fast fashion ruled the scene—when Kate Moss slipped out the back door of parties with a Marlboro Light, Marissa Cooper set the standard for California cool, and Carrie Bradshaw ran wild in her Manolos. Here, we celebrate the fashion of the ’90s and early 2000s: effortless glamour, low-rise denim, oversized sunglasses, slip dresses, Juicy tracksuits, and those unforgettable runway moments that shaped fashion history. It’s for anyone who misses the Olsen twins at Starbucks with giant city bags, Paris and Lindsay’s chaotic party looks, Britney in her denim-on-denim, old Vogue editorials, and the supermodel era of Kate, Naomi, and Gisele.
Motebibelen is more than a blog—it’s a community for those who know style is never just about clothes, but about attitude, moments, and stories.
If you’re an OG, I’m so glad you’re here for this new chapter. And if you’re new—welcome to the universe of Motebibelen. Think of it as fashion’s playground. You can expect deep dives into iconic designers, unforgettable fashion moments, style guides, the occasional rant, and honestly… a bit of everything. This is an experimental space, and who knows—you might even see some new voices join the mix. But I won’t spill too much just yet. You’ll have to follow along to see.
